I get asked a ton about how this line came to be, so here it goes...

Three years ago, Julie and I were approached about designing a couple of items that represented our style to be sold in the team store, Tri-Color Sport. We didn't have to think twice about it; we were in! Over the years, we had done countless trips to the team store looking for something that fits our style, always coming out empty-handed. So we were excited to be able to fill that void finally.

Julie and I jumped right into it and put together four items that were a little different then what you usually would see in the store ( a lot less color and more subtle logos) but fit our style perfectly.

Clothing design was new to Julie and me, so we relied heavily on the marketing team. We designed the items and then let them handle the rest. The final pieces were great, and we were very proud of what we had designed. The collection was a success in terms of sales but not as good as I had hoped. We did a limited edition on all the items from our first collection (meaning we made a specific number, once those sold that was it, no more would be made) so the fact that there are still camo tanks hanging in the store from this first collection hurts my heart a little. But the line did well enough that we were asked to do it again.

We were ecstatic when we were asked to do a second collection the following year. We were even more ecstatic when we found that the marketing department had made some changes, and now there was a woman in the lead position who would be assisting us in the process.

After learning so much with our first collection Julie and I were really ready to dig in for this new collection, not only involved in the design but in the fabrics and the supplier and the more aware of the price points we wanted to stay in. The marketing team encouraged our creativity and inspired us to add to our collection which was the little push we needed.

Their confidence in us made all the difference and in turn, gave us the confidence to really put ourselves out there and go for it with this follow-up collection.

Fast forward to launch day, items went on sale that morning online, and then we were planning a launch meet and greet at the team store that night during the game. Little did we know that we wouldn't have much stock left for the game because we sold so much that morning, ultimately selling out of a couple of the items.

After so much hard work to see, the line be so successful was remarkable. And if anything lit a fire under us wanting to make the next collection even better.

And now we are here, two days away from the launch of the third season. This collection is substantially bigger than the previous two, with the addition of a men's line and new kid's items, and broader collaboration with Lululemon, which is super exciting but also a little nerve-racking. With the Habs marketing team putting so much faith in us, I don't want to disappoint. Will you guys like it? Will the items sale? Will you like the fit? What will you think of the quality? And ultimately, will we get to do this again next season?!

I genuinely think this is our best work yet, and it will only get better from here.

One last thing, a big thank you to everyone who has supported us! I love this last picture because it is the perfect representation of CHic...Julie and I look good because of all the support from the people behind us. This line is about more than stylish fan gear; it's about the hockey community and giving back to it.

Our fellow wives and girlfriends on the team, and even on other teams around the league have been so encouraging and supportive. Women supporting women is a beautiful thing!

And the Marketing team Luma, Kevin, Dominque and Sarah, you guys are amazing at what you do! You have made this experience so much fun, and your guidance has helped us achieve our best line yet! I hope for many more meetings with you guys.

Much Love,
