My Current Reading List

With all of the travelling I’ve been doing, and will continue to do, there’s a lot of time spent on flights, in cars and lounging around. This means there’s also time for reading! I love being able to sit down with a hot drink and a good book. I wanted to share my recent favorites with you in case you’re looking for a new book to read. I’ve split them into three categories for your convenience and would love to know what you’ve been reading, and loving, lately too!

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover
The first in this series, I just had to purchase this book and see if it really was worth the hype. My verdict? It was! I really loved this novel and can’t wait until the movie comes out!

It Starts With Us by Colleen Hoover
This is the sequel to It Ends With Us and the newest of Colleen’s books. I loved being able to continue the story of Lily and Ryle. According to Google, this became Simon & Schuster’s most pre-ordered book of all time!

Verity by Colleen Hoover
I have clearly become a fan of Colleen Hoover books and this one takes a whole different path than the ones above, it’s a psychological thriller and one that I really enjoyed.

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
This is another love story, but with a whole new couple. This was one of Colleen Hoover’s earlier books, so it’s really interesting to see how her writing has changed over time.

Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover
If you’re looking for a book to pull at your heart strings, this is it! It’s about a woman who returns home after serving time in prison and tries to rebuild bridges that she’s burned in the past — so good!

Will by Will Smith
It was really interesting to read Will Smith’s book and learn more about the man behind his comedic role in Fresh Prince of Bell Air. He takes you through his journey as an actor and a man.

Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey
This has been called an unconventional and life-changing memoir, which it may be, but I just really enjoyed reading his story. Again, I’m really drawn towards the story behind the people we see on screen.

Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing by Matthew Perry
Another very interesting biography, especially for any Friends fan. Matthew Perry has experienced a lot and goes through it all in this book. It’s been very hyped up, so I wanted to check it out for myself.

Business is Personal by Bethenny Frankel
If you’re a Real Housewives fan, you’ll know who Bethenny Frankel is and how passionate she is about her business. This book is a really entertaining way to get inspired and motivated to reach your own goals all while maintaining balance.

Shoe Dog by Phil Knight
I really liked this memoir as it’s about the CEO and founder of Nike. Unlike most memoirs that are about people we see on screen, this tells the story of life, business and the evolution of Phil’s life.

Atomic Habits by James Clear
I have mentioned this book many times on Instagram, on the blog, etc. and I still highly recommend it. It’s a great book to re-read every single year as a reminder to create and stick to habits.

The Blessing of a Skinned Knee by Wendy Mogel
This book is all about raising positive, self-reliant and well mannered children. Definitely easier said than done, but I really love reading about people’s parenting styles as I navigate parenthood myself.

How to Raise Successful People by Esther Wojcicki
Another great parenting book, relying on the TRICK method. Esther is considered the “Godmother of Silicon Valley”, which definitely puts an interesting spin on parenting!

The Self Driven Child by William Stixrud and Ned Johnson
When you’re parenting, it can definitely be easy to want to control every decision and move your children make. This book helps you to let go of that idea and encourages you to let your children make decisions for themselves. I really love that this book is based on research.

As you can see, I’ve clearly been drawn towards three categories of books lately. If any of these books interest you, I definitely encourage you to give them a chance. If you have any books you think I’d like, or that you just want to share a review of, leave them below!

Much Love,
