Girls’ Trip: What's in My Suitcase

I just got back from a girls trip to Scottsdale, Arizona and it was such a fun weekend with friends I don’t get to see very often! For all the pictures and reels, check out my Instagram. We stayed at The Phoenician resort, which we loved! Beautiful property and literally the best service! We didn’t leave the resort much during the day but we did check out Toca Maderas for dinner one night, which was very cool and then our last night we went to dinner at LON’s which was my favorite, very cool outdoor dining scene, would be perfect for a romantic date.

But for todays post, I want to show you what I packed for a quick trip and hopefully answer all the questions I have been getting in my DMs.

There are a few tips I follow when packing, especially without the kids, so that I don’t have to take more luggage than necessary:

  1. BRING ITEMS YOU CAN MIX AND MATCH
Below you will see that I packed denim shorts, a white bodysuit and black heels - these are all pieces that could be parts of different outfits throughout the trip. I could pair the shorts with the bodysuit or with the shirt I wore on the plane. The black heels could go with either dress I packed. Think ahead and make sure you can wear items more than once.

  2. MAKE SURE ACCESSORIES ARE MULTIPURPOSE
I kept my jewelry simple and just packed a few gold pieces. These pieces could be worn together or separately and translate well from day to night.

  3. STAY AWAY FROM PACKING BULKY ITEMS
I wore my sweater and joggers on the plane so that they did not have to be stuffed into a suitcase. I also kept my dresses streamlined and avoided anything with thick materials. I did pack boots, but because the rest of my clothing was small and easy to pack, it left room for a statement shoe!

ON THE PLANE
Zara Jogger // Zara T-Shirt // Evolve Together Mask // Leatherology Tote Bag // ByAngela the Label Hoodie

I know so many of us are eager to get away this summer and enjoy the sun, which probably means packing a suitcase or at least a carry on! I hope the tips above help you to pack a little lighter or that maybe you’ve found a new piece of clothing you’ll be sneaking into that suitcase for your next trip. It was such a great getaway for all of us girls and I’m already thinking about where I want to go next!

Much Love,
