Spring 2020 Reading List

angela price reading list amazon book

I love to read, whether it’s for fun, to improve myself or to learn more about my faith, so I thought I would share a few of my recommendations with you! Here are a list of books I have read in the last year and really enjoyed and some that are currently on my nightstand, waiting in line to be read.

1. Enlightenment Now by Steven Pinker

I read this one recently and so enjoyed it! The beginning was a little tough to get through, but it gets easier once you get farther in to it! It reads almost like a text book, but is so interesting!!

2. David and Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell

Currently reading ... stay tuned!

3. Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis

I thought this book was nothing special, but I still enjoyed it. It was an easy read that might be fun for a time like this.

4. How to Raise Successful People by Esther Wojcicki

One of my favorite parenting books, would highly recommend!

5. The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian

Sitting on my night stand waiting to be read!

6. 7 Principles for Making Marriage Work by John M. Gottman

Awhile back, I was listening to a podcast that spoke about how much we prepare to have kids, and how much reading and research goes in to it and asked the questions why don’t we do the same for marriage? So, right then, I vowed to mix in a relationship/marriage book every once in a while. This might be a good one to read ASAP if you are finding it tough to be quarantined with your partner.

7. Agents of Babylon by David Jeremiah

So many of you are interested in hearing more about my Christianity, so I will for sure share more - starting with this book. I read it while I was reading the book of Daniel and I loved how it went deeper into the scripture and history of the story. A great read!

8. Living in the Chemical Age by Janet Newman

I read this when first making the change in our home to be less toxic. It was eye opening to say the least. It is a must-read if you are on the same journey or have any interest in the subject.

9. Love and Respect by Emerson Eggerichs

Another one sitting on the night stand, waiting to be read.

10. Open Book by Jessica Simpson

I randomly ordered this on Amazon, because I felt like I needed a book strictly for pleasure. All my books are bit heavy, so during this time I wanted something easy that wouldn’t make me think too hard.

I hope I’ve given you a few new ideas of what to read next and maybe some of these will be on your nightstand very soon! Let me know. in the comments below, what you are reading right now, or what is waiting to be read! I’d love to know what you are all reading and if you have anything to recommend!

Much Love,
