Kid Activities - Pinterest

liv price doing a pinterest kids activity

I know a lot of us moms have been chipping away at every Pinterest ‘kid activity’ we come across, so I wanted to put together a post with some of our favourites. I am taking the time to do some educational things, as well as some just for fun! I think I had as much fun with the “Knock The Balls” activity as Liv did.

For school, we are doing a different theme each week. Pinterest is a great place to find free printables to match different themes. Since this week we are doing Canada, I used the Canada Day printables to add a little extra to our lesson plans.

Where Do I Live?

This is a great way to introduce a bit of geography into the lesson plan. It’s important that your children know their address, but it is also fun for them to visualize how small their home is compared to their city or country! It’s a great visual tool and one you can keep around if you choose to laminate it!

Color Scavenger Hunt

The best part about this activity, for parents, is that it requires very little preparation and only two materials! Yet, it could keep the kids occupied for an hour or more. Make up the scavenger hunt board and let them roam! It’s great for their minds and helps to teach them their colours!

Symmetry Drawing

These free printables not only help kids to draw certain shapes such as a ladybug or a simple square, but it helps them to learn about symmetry at the same time. There are so many different options from simple to complicated, so this activity is great for children of all ages!

Q-tip Painting

This activity is so simple, yet so much fun that even parents can get in on it! If you have the time to spend the afternoon, or even an hour, painting and chatting with your kids, it’s a great way to spend some quality time together and encourage their creativity. Plus, think of the beautiful artwork you’ll have to hang on the fridge!

Knock the Balls

This game was so fun, even I enjoyed it! It can either be used as a game just for fun, or step it up a notch and let your little one add up the points for a bit of a math lesson.

Learning Phone Number

Similarly to the address game, teaching your children their phone number can be important incase they ever get lost and need to reach home. The best part is, there are many ways suggested to teach them your phone number and therefore, there’s a little something for every child!

Canada Day Printable

Like I said, we are focusing on Canada this week and these printables were a great help! They’re fun and colourful and at times, I’m not even sure Liv knew she was learning!

There are many more activities on my Pinterest Kid Activities board! Go follow along and I will add posts as we try different ones! I am really looking forward to the indoor camping one! Hopefully, these ideas help you and your little ones to stay away from too much boredom during this time!

Much Love,
