In case you are not following along, tonight is game 5 of the first series in playoffs!! This series has been a nailbiter so far but has also been so much fun to watch. A group of us girls watched the last game at a restaurant in dix30; everyone probably thought we were insane, screaming at the TV every two minutes.
I have a little bit of a funky side when it comes to fashion. I keep it pretty basic and neutral for the most part...but sometimes when I am out shopping I usually spot something that is totally out of my norm that I love, but I am always hesitant to buy it. Since it is a little out of my comfort zone I get nervous I won't ever wear it, so I don't want to waste the money. So I pass it up and go with the plain black T-shirt or hey, maybe even a white-shirt this time. I then go home and add it to my closet that is full of black and white t-shirts...how boring. I am going to start being mindful of getting out of my comfort zone in all aspects of my life, including fashion.

Hi, gang! I hope you all had a great weekend. We sure did! My sister is here visiting, and Sunday was her birthday. She has wanted to go to the restaurant O.Noir...that is the one where you eat in complete darkness. Such a neat experience! If you have never been, you need to go. Other than that the sis has been spending some quality time with Liv while I enjoy some baby free time!
Anyways, today's post is all about throwing together some basic pieces from your closet to make an easy go to look.

Happy Thursday guys! We are a sleepy house today, poor Liv was up all night with a fever. It is a bit better today but still a little high. So we are staying in and lounging today. Since I had the down time I decided to go ahead and check out the Nordstrom half year sale. The sizes are kind of slim pickings but the sales are awesome. Great time to stock up on Christmas pajamas, and I think I am going to have to snag that Elf on the Shelf while it is on sale! Here is what I had my eye on:
Do you guys have fun plans for the weekend? I am debating going out for New Year's Eve. I always want to, but going out downtown Montreal can be such a hassle! Traffic is insane, finding a cab can be nearly impossible. One year we had all these great plans but ended up ringing in the new year in a cab stuck in traffic on St Paul, haha. So we may end up staying in...we shall see!
I hope everyone (well all the Canadiens) enjoyed the long weekend. I can not believe it is already August! Summer was just getting started, how are we already headed back to Montreal in one short month?! Though, we are excited to get in to our home and settled with Liv. In the meantime we are trying to enjoy every last day here in Kelowna and enjoy having family around to watch the babe. This weekend was spent on hikes, walks, mountain biking and eating at our favorite restaurants. This is a casual look I wore around town.
I keep getting questions about my hair and how I manage to always have it done with a new baby. So in the next couple weeks I will do some hair posts and show how easy it actually is!
Other than that I hope everyone has a great start to their week!
Lots of Love,
